But Denmark is not pressured by the need to achieve a result at any cost: even if they miss four, they will still come home as heroes. The English are stunned, but they come back almost immediately - a pass along the flank, a cross, the defender cuts into his own. 1:1. Second half: England attacks more and more - what can I say, they almost never stop. But Schmeichel carries everything - even a missed shot from Maguire into the corner from five meters. Denmark barely makes it to extra time - but it's still 30 minutes, and the English don't seem to be tired at all. “The field seems to have been tilted, the ball is constantly rolling towards Schmeichel’s penalty area,” says the commentator: the Danes are standing in their penalty area and fighting back in anticipation of the post-match penalties. But instead they get a penalty in their own goal after ten minutes: Sterling beats two and falls to the lawn, the referee points to the spot, although the contact with the defender was minimal and the violation is very controversial. Harry Kane hits - Schmeichel hits... in front of him, and Kane himself is the first to finish, 2:1! The Danes have 15 minutes to win back, but they have no strength at all. England reaches the final for the first time (!!!) in the sixty-year history of the European Championships. Italy is already waiting for her there - and it will be a mega-match!
