The court in Tver dismissed the case under the “rally” article against a member of the local parliament

The Central District Court of Tver dismissed the case under the "rally" article against the deputy of the regional parliament from the Communist Party Artem Goncharov. It is reported by SOTA with reference to the deputy's lawyer.

The police detained Goncharov because of the march on May 1, a protocol was drawn up against him under the article on violation of the rules for organizing a public event (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). The deputy stated that he did not take part in the action.

Later, the case was reclassified to a softer article - on violation of the rules for participation in a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), and then the case was dismissed.

• On Labor Day, activists from various communist, socialist, and anarchist movements held public events. OVD-Info kept online about the detentions due to the actions on May 1.
