The company told about the new backgrounds inspired by the classic elements of the operating system on July 8 as part of the traditional Hashtag, Throwback Thursday.

One of the backgrounds for Teams was devoted to the scrap - a virtual assistant who first appeared Microsoft Office 97. Subsequently, the company abandoned the assistant, as users considered it too intrusive, and the scraping itself became a reason for various kinds of jokes and parodies.

Among the “nostalgic” backgrounds there is also a victorious moment in the “scarf”, slightly changed hills from the “serenity” background for Windows XP and the backdrop, inspired by the raster graphic editor Paint.
