Australian tennis player Ashleigh Barty, the first racket of the world, won the Wimbledon tennis tournament in singles.
In the final match, Barty defeated the Czech athlete Karolina Plishkova in three sets (6:3, 6:7, 6:3).
- Barty won Wimbledon for the first time in her career. Prior to that, of the Grand Slam tournaments, she won only the French Open in 2019.
- Serb Novak Djokovic will face Italy's Matteo Berrettini in the men's final on July 11.
