The Union of Composers of Russia announced the winners of the program "Notes and quota"

Today, July 12, the winners of the composer orders “Notes and Quota”, created by the Union of Composers of Russia with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, became known.

According to the website of the Union of Composers of Russia , more than 60 applications from soloists, ensembles, orchestras, choirs, Philharmonics and festivals from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Tula, Cherezan, Samara, Yoshkar-Olya, Kirov, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Omsk, Omsk, Omsk, Omska, Omsk, Omaterinburg. Ulan-Ude, Chelyabinsk, Irkutsk, Yakutsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as well as from London, Basel, Bruges, Karlsruhe and Ogasta (USA).

The Expert Council considered all applications, evaluating the diversity and geographical coverage of concert life, which the performers guarantee a new essay. In addition, the name of collectives and soloists, as well as the reputation of the declared concert venues and the number of future executions, were taken into account.

“It was unexpected and very pleasant to get so many applications from leading collectives and soloists for the execution of modern music,” says Karina Abramyan, General Director of the Union of Composers of Russia. - For experts of the program, the choice turned out to be difficult - applications were so convincing. We chose not performers and not composers, but a concert life of new works. The Long list of the program impressed us so much that now we are preparing an application for a grant to the Fund of Cultural Initiatives and hope to continue the project. In addition, the Union of Composers of Russia decided to provide two additional quotas in the nomination for soloists. ”

Nomination for a symphony orchestra or choir

New works will be heard in 2022 and 2023 in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Omsk, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, as well as the cities of Great Britain, Germany, Italy, China, Japan and the USA.

“Notes and Quotes” is the first state program of creative orders for composers in the history of modern Russia. The composer creates a new work under the order of the Contractor, the payment of the fee takes on the Union of Composers of Russia, and the musicians receive new scores for premieres in the new season. The grant fund of the program is 3,680,000 rubles.
