Boris Koshelokhov died

On July 11, artist Boris Koshelokhov died in the Mariinsky hospital in St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg.

According to the Petersburg Diary , the cause of death was a coronavirus infection.

Boris Nikolayevich Koshelokhov (in creative circles was known by the nickname Bob) was born in 1942 by the city of Zlatoust, the Chelyabinsk region, in 1962 he moved to Leningrad, worked as an electrician, a orderly, a driver at a construction site, and participated in geological expeditions.

In the mid-1970s he declared himself as a professional artist, in 1977 he founded the Creative Group "Chronicle", uniting several non-conformist artists. In 1978 he emigrated to Italy, but a few months later he returned to the USSR. In the 1970s-the 1980s, he organized a number of unofficial exhibitions.

Since 1978, more than twenty personal exhibitions of Boris Koshekhov have been held in different countries, the artist participated in many group exhibitions in his homeland and abroad.

The works of Boris Koshelekhov are located in the State Russian Museum and other museum meetings, as well as in private collections in the countries of the former USSR, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Norway, Poland, the USA, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, South Korea and Japan.
