"Victory": Flights will increase by 2 %

The increase in prices for flights will be at least 2 % due to the expenses of Russian airlines in connection with the new rules of medical examination of the flight attendants. This was stated by TASS, head of the Laucoster Service Service "Victory" Laszlo Sabo.

In Victory, they said that in January 2021 in Russia an order of the Ministry of Health entered into force, obliging the flight attendants to receive about 30 medical trips. According to Laslo Sabo, this requirement duplicates existing federal aircraft rules, which is why the flight attendants must undergo a double examination: they repeatedly undergo the same doctors and pass the same tests. This increases the costs of airlines, says Sabo.

- For the airline, this is additional expenses - at least 30 thousand rubles per person per year, which, of course, will be transferred to the cost of tickets. Presumably, inevitable prices will be at least 2 %.

Interfax interviewed other airlines, but they did not provide comments about a possible increase in prices.

The press service of the Ministry of Transport said that the agency is working on a new procedure for medical examination. From March 2022, Russia will come into force in virtue of new requirements in return for existing aviation rules. According to the Ministry of Transport, this will exclude the possible “backward” when passing a medical examination.
