The St. Petersburg prosecutor's office has withdrawn the claim to block the Russian LGBT Network group on VKontakte.

The prosecutor's office of the Central District of St. Petersburg withdrew the claim to block the group on VKontakte, not finding any propaganda of “non-traditional relationships” there. This was reported by the organization's press service.

In October 2019, the Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg declared prohibited information in the VKontakte groups of the Russian LGBT Network and the Russian LGBT Community. The prosecutor's office found posts in communities that "deny family values" and promote "non-traditional sexual relationships."

The prosecutor's office demanded that the Russian LGBT Network page on Facebook be blocked. United Russia deputy from the Perm region Igor Sapko filed a complaint against the group. He attached an examination to the application, which showed that the page “creates an attractive image of homosexuality.”

Later, the prosecutor's office demanded that three articles on the organization's website be blocked due to the promotion of non-traditional relationships. However, the claim was withdrawn due to lack of evidence.
