Former employees of WhatsApp launched the HalloApp social network - you can add friends only by their phone number

The application does not collect user data and encrypts all chats.

The HalloApp application has become available for download on iOS and Android on July 19, reports The Verge. In the application, you can create group chats or correspond to personally. You can find friends only by knowing their phone number.

HalloApp was created by the former business director Niraj Arora and the technical director of WhatsApp Michael Donohee. They left the company in 2018 and 2019.

There are four tabs in the application: a tape of messages from friends, group chats, personal correspondence and settings. Posts and group chats are not sorted.

HalloApp - “antidote from traditional social networks,” wrote the co -founder of Niraj Arra on the company’s blog: “Imagine that your tape is not filled with messages that are not interesting to you. Imagine that you see what you would like, not what the algorithm has decided. Imagine that you are not treated as a product. ”

In the future, HalloApp plans to add new subscription functions. While the project works at the expense of investors, reports The Verge.
