In Pskov, the police came to the local office of the Communist Party. This is reported by the publication "Sever.Realii" with reference to the secretary of the Pskov City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Sergei Bogdanov.
The attention of the security forces was attracted by leaflets with information about Alexander Baev and Dmitry Mikhailov, candidates for the regional assembly of deputies from the Communist Party.
According to law enforcers, they received a statement from the election commission of the region, which called the leaflets “illegal campaigning” because they did not contain instructions to print from the candidate’s electoral account.
“The police keep saying that this is a search, but they have already seized everything they found. In May, even before the start of the election campaign, we printed information leaflets rather than agitation leaflets. At that time, in the spring, we had tents around the city, and some part of the leaflets remained - about 50, maybe. They were printed outside the electoral period - then there was not even this electoral bill, ”Bogdanov explained to Sever.Realii reporters.
