The first rains, which passed after several weeks of abnormal heat, created a strange foam on the streets of St. Petersburg, reminiscent of a white chemical plaque. The townspeople began to actively discuss it on July 20. At the same time, “Paper” took several pictures of foam on sidewalks and roads in different areas of the city on July 18.
As the “paper” explained in the improvement committee of St. Petersburg, this foam is the effect of the rain, which was not previously. Its occurred was influenced by fine dust and abnormal heat.
- The rain jets turn into small bubbles that look like a white chemical plaque from the side. According to ecologists, fine dust accumulates in the air, which is nailed to the asphalt and gives such stains. The high temperature of the roadway also plays a role.
In Rosprirodnadzor, commenting on the appearance of foam to the cad, they also stated that this is due to the accumulation of a large amount of dust. At the same time, the explanation of the department is slightly different. “The surface of the road is rough, therefore, when precipitation falls on a warm roadway, moving vehicles beat rain water and dust in foam,” the Rosprirodnadzor claims.
