Refutation: ex-coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Murmansk will try to take part in the elections

The former coordinator of Navalny's Murmansk headquarters, Violetta Grudina, will not have time to take part in the elections to the Murmansk city council. She told Open Media about this.

Now the activist is in forced hospitalization due to coronavirus. Grudina should take a PCR test on July 26, and registration of candidates will end on August 9. Even if the test turns out to be negative, she will not have time to submit documents to the election commission and collect signatures.

“As I said earlier, all this was done in order to prevent me from taking part in the elections. And now I, a healthy person, have been kept in the “red zone” for a week, in the very center of infection, where many seriously ill patients with lung damage are lying. Here you can pick up any kind of infection, including hospital-acquired ones. No mask can save you here. My life, it turns out, is simply worthless,” Grudina told the publication.

The activist wrote a refusal of medical intervention, so she does not receive treatment in the hospital. The court decision on forced hospitalization does not contain information about the need for treatment. Doctors perform only an external examination.

• On July 14, a court in Murmansk upheld the claim of Rospotrebnadzor for the forced hospitalization of the former coordinator of Navalny’s local headquarters, Violetta Grudina. A criminal case was also opened against the activist under an article on violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules (Article 236 of the Criminal Code). The next day she was admitted to the Covid hospital. Rospotrebnadzor believes that Grudina violated the self-isolation regime. The oppositionist denies this; she presented in court a negative coronavirus test made by an independent company.
• On June 29 and July 8, the police detained volunteers from Violetta Grudina’s election headquarters for posting leaflets.
• In early April, Grudinafound leaflets in the mailboxes of her home accusing her of banditry and promoting LGBT values ​​among minors. A few days later, she was summoned for questioning because of the scrawled inscription “Putin is a killer” (spelling preserved - OVD-Info ) on a sculpture of a whale in the city of Kola.
• On June 9, 2021, the Moscow City Court recognized the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK), the Foundation for the Protection of Citizens' Rights (FZPG) and the headquarters of Alexei Navalny as “extremist organizations.”
