• The defendant in the “palace case,” Rinat Safin, was given a suspended sentence of two and a half years under the article on the use of violence against police officers. He was found guilty of throwing snowballs at security forces at a rally on January 31 in support of Alexei Navalny.
• The court in St. Petersburg upheld the preventive measure imposed on Ivan Punegov, a participant in the April rally in support of Navalny. He is currently in jail on charges of violence against a government official.
• The leaders of the Ingush protest were extended their detention until November 9. In total, seven people are involved in the case: Akhmed Barakhoev, Musa Malsagov, Ismail Nalgiev, Zarifa Sautieva, Malsag Uzhakhov, Bagaudin Khautiev and Barukh Chemurziev. • In Yaroslavl, the police reduced the amount of the claim against the ex-coordinator of Navalny’s local headquarters, Elena Lekiashvili, by 40%. Initially, the Ministry of Internal Affairs demanded to recover 495 thousand rubles as compensation for the work of security forces during the protest on January 23.
• The arrests of Pussy Riot activists continue: this time the court sent Rita Flores to a special detention center for 15 days - she was found guilty of disobedience to the demands of a police officer. Previously, several members of the art group left Russia.
