
The Ministry of Justice included the publication The Insider and five journalists in the register of foreign media performing the functions of a foreign agent.
In addition to the insider registered in Riga, the register included the first deputy chief editor of the project “Project” by Mikhail Rubin, the journalist of Project Sofya Groysman, the correspondent of Open Media, Ilya Rozhdestvensky, the journalist of Project Julia Apukhtin and journalist Alexei Posternak.
The Insider published several high -profile investigations. For example, it was The Insider who was one of the first to say that Alexei Navalny could poison the employees of the FSB special group, and called the names of the alleged poisoners. Subsequently, the publication talked about the possible involvement of these people in the murder of three people.
The Insider editor -in -chief Roman Dobrokhotov said that the publication to continue working in the same mode and the decision of the Ministry of Justice is “not interested”, since The Insider is registered in Latvia under Latvian legislation and representatives in Russia.
