• The courts handed down sentences to those involved in the “palace case.” Kazan activist Kamilla Khaibullina was given a suspended sentence of one and a half years on charges of incitement to extremism and mass riots. Yekaterinburg resident Valery Tiunovwas sentenced to six months of restricted freedom. He was also charged with inciting mass riots.
• OVD-Info learned about another person involved in the “palace case” from Moscow. A minor young man is accused of using violence against a government official at a rally on January 23 in support of Alexei Navalny.
• A court in St. Petersburg extended the term of stay in a pre-trial detention center for the defendant in the “palace case” Ivan Punegov. The investigation believes that at the rally on April 21, a man “grabbed and squeezed the neck” of a police officer with both hands.
