Putin moved payments for schoolchildren two weeks in advance

Payments of 10 thousand rubles for schoolchildren, which President Putin announced in his address to the Federal Assembly, will begin two weeks earlier than planned.

Putin announced the transfer of payments forward today at a meeting on preparations for the new academic year with the participation of Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov and Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov. The President asked Kotyakov if it was possible to make the payment earlier, and not from August 16 (as at the disposal of the government ), “so that people can, in a planned manner, slowly, having more time, prepare for the children to be collected for school” .

Kotyakov replied that, technically, payments can be started as early as August 2, that is, from the next Monday.
