Five more participants in the action against the isolation regime in Vladikavkaz were given up to 6.5 years of the colony

The court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced the freedom of the five participants in the rally in Vladikavkaz against coronavirus restrictions introduced in the spring of 2020. It is reported by Kommersant. They were found guilty of the participation of “mass riots” (part 2 of article 212 of the Criminal Code).

According to the prosecution, Arsen Brikhov, Arthur Javadian, Hetag Upov, Asamaz Telyev and Georgy Khugaev were among active participants in clashes with security officials on Square Square. The accused pleaded guilty. They believed that their actions in the square can be qualified as “hooliganism”. However, judge Olga Borokhova agreed to the prosecution.

Arsen Brikhov was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison in a colony of general regime, Khetag Samov and Georgy Khugaev - by five years and three months, Azamaz Telyev - by four years and nine months. The largest time - six and a half years - was received by Arthur Javadyan, who was also found guilty of the use of violence against security forces. The investigation claimed that from the stone abandoned by him, the senior sergeant of the police received bodily harm.

On July 27, the court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced five more residents of Vladikavkaz, who participated in the rally against the isolation regime in the spring of 2020. Aslan Gasiev and Zaza Tsaritov, who pleaded guilty, received five years in prison. There are two more people - David Okhaashvili and Arthur Bugulov - sentenced to five years and three months the colony. Magomed Kadyrov received five and a half years in prison.

The court found that all five resisted the police and fighters of the Russian Guard, who tried to replace the protesters from the square where the rally was held. The investigation presented videos from the rally and the testimony of police officers. According to investigators, the protesters threw the security forces with stones and other items, as a result, 17 law enforcement officers suffered.

On April 20, 2020, an inconsistent rally against the self -isolation regime was held on the square in the center of Vladikavkaz. Participants in the action demanded to stop quarantine, since because of it many lost their jobs. The action ended with clashes between protesters and security forces.
