Sergey Furgal was detained and arrested on July 9, a few days later President Vladimir Putin dismissed him in connection with the loss of confidence. The head of the Khabarovsk Territory was temporarily appointed ex-deputy of the State Duma from the LDPR Mikhail Degtyarev.
