Two more participants in the video, named Isachenko and Melekhov, were each sentenced to three years in prison.
All three are accused of hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code). In the video, which Jaborov posted in February 2020, a young man wearing a medical mask fell in the aisle of a subway car, simulating a seizure, while other participants in the prank shouted that he had coronavirus.
After the video was published, the Moscow metro promised to file a complaint “with law enforcement agencies”; a week later Jaborov was detained and sent to a pre-trial detention center.
