The United States will fire more than 180 diplomatic mission employees in Russia due to recognition as an “unfriendly country”

The United States will fire 182 employees of the diplomatic mission in Moscow, Vladivostok and Yekaterinburg due to inclusion in the list of “unfriendly countries”. This was reported in a statement by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

“While we regret the actions of the Russian government that have forced reductions in our services and operations, the United States will fulfill its obligations by continuing to maintain a predictable and stable relationship with Russia,” he said.

In mid-May, the Russian government added the Czech Republic and the United States to the list of “unfriendly countries.” The Czech Republic was allowed to hire only 19 Russians in its diplomatic mission, and the United States - none.
