A report on extremism was drawn up against comedian Idrak Mirzalizadeh due to a stand-up comedy about renting apartments in Russia

The prosecutor's office of the Central District of Moscow drew up a protocol against comedian Idrak Mirzalizade for inciting hatred in his speech (Article 20.3.1 of the Administrative Code). This was reported by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office and Human Rights Postcards , which represents his interests.

According to a press release from the prosecutor's office, the comedian "made statements containing <...> signs of humiliation of a group of people identified on the basis of nationality, as well as propaganda of its inferiority."

We are talking about Mirzalizadeh’s speech in the March episode of the YouTube show “Dispersal” about the techniques that he used to convince realtors to rent an apartment to him. According to the complaint, the complaint was caused by an excerpt from Mirzalizadeh’s story about how he threw out a dirty mattress from the apartment he rented.

“Russians smear themselves with shit and go to bed <...> The French are a great nation and can afford to be nationalists, but it’s bad to be a nationalist, but the French can afford it <...> Who is this? Some Russian Pavel looks at me with pretension,” the comedian’s words are quoted in the document.

“Human Rights Postcards” noted that the prosecutor’s office conducted an examination not of the original release of the show, but of an excerpt from a speech on social networks. They found a video with that name in the “White Morning” group on VKontakte, where they published posts about violations of foreigners in Russia.

The comedian said that after his performance he received threats, and in June he was attacked by unknown assailants in the center of Moscow. On July 28, police stopped him at the station to present him with an undertaking to appear at the prosecutor's office.
