Zolotov's former deputy was sentenced to six years in prison in the case of privatization of a military apartment for his wife's hairdressing salon

The Reutov Garrison Military Court sentenced Sergei Mileiko, former deputy director of the National Guard Viktor Zolotov, to six years in a general regime colony in the case of fraud with an apartment in a military building near Moscow. this . reports RBC

58-year-old Mileiko was also fined 600 thousand rubles and stripped of the rank of lieutenant general. During the debate, the prosecutor's office requested eight years in prison for him.

Mileiko had been Zolotov’s deputy since April 2017 and oversaw logistical issues in the department, including the government procurement department, until he was removed from his post in the summer of 2019 after an internal audit. A few months later he was detained in a fraud case.

The Investigative Committee accused Mileiko of the fact that in 2012, while serving in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the military man helped allocate non-residential premises to his wife Galina in a house for the military of the Dzerzhinsky division in Balashikha (Part 3 of Article 33, Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). After this, Mileiko’s wife opened the “For You” hairdressing salon there.

According to Kommersant , the premises with an area of ​​232 square meters were registered in the name of the grandmother of the head of the division's housing and maintenance department, Kirill Prokudin, who then sold it to Galina Mileiko for 980 thousand rubles. The investigation believed that it cost 18.5 million rubles more, but then reduced the amount of damage to almost 10 million.

Prokudin himself, who drew up the documents on the alienation of the premises, was sentenced to four years in prison (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). Mileiko denied guilt and claimed that Prokudin slandered him in order to evade responsibility, since he had already been convicted of two similar episodes.

After being detained in the apartment case in October 2019, Mileiko was released on an obligation to appear, but in December he was sent to a pre-trial detention center on a new case of theft of more than 670 million rubles in the supply of uniforms for the National Guard from a single supplier.
