One of the residents of the cottage Olga Pavlova told Fontanka that she noticed a large roll of the tower, so she sent the children to safe places, the rest took refuge in another part of the building.

The chairman of the KGIOP Sergey Makarov arrived at the place. According to the press service of the committee, Makarov decided to submit an application to the police on damage to the cultural heritage object and violation of its requirements for its preservation . The maximum punishment for these articles is up to three and two years in prison, respectively. In addition, KGIOP decides on the initiation of the case of damage to the cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation . The maximum fine is 20 million rubles.

The emergency condition of the cottage Krivdina was talked a lot in the media, including federal ones . The owner of the facility - Nord Hotel LLC - privatized the cottage Krivdina in 2006. After that, the company had to repair the building and resettle the residents. However, the family of Olga Pavlova refused to leave, because, according to her, Nord Hotel offered only a one -room apartment with an area of ​​32 square meters. The general director of Nord Hotel claims that the family requires three apartments. The owner was repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for the improper preservation of the monument.

The cottage Krivdina was built at the beginning of the 20th century in the style of modern - presumably , architect V. Morozov. This is an object of cultural heritage of federal significance.

Updated August 1 . The Investigative Committee began a pre -investigation verification on the collapse of a historical cottage. “Based on the results of the pre-investigation, a procedural decision will be made,” the SK press release said .

In 2018, the prosecutor ordered the company to preserve the building, and later carry out repairs, restoration and improvement.
