The Gagarinsky District Court of Moscow arrested for 10 days members of the unregistered party “The Other Russia of E.V. Limonov” Mikhail Galyashkin and Mikhail Borovsky . this Party representatives reported on their VKontakte page.
On July 31, they handcuffed themselves to the bars of a window of the Ministry of Justice building in the north-west of the city, protesting against the ministry’s refusal to register their party.
Both were then unchained from bars and taken to the police department, but Galyashkin left there after three hours from the moment of detention. The next day, the police officers on duty at the entrance detained his wife at the exit, and then the activist himself; the girl was released.
Protocols were drawn up against him and the Borovskys, who were left in the department until the court hearing, regarding the organization of the action without filing a notice (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
On July 31, police detained supporters of E.V. Limonov’s “Other Russia” in other cities where protests demanding registration of the party took place - Barnaul , Yaroslavl and Perm .
In 2018, Mikhail Galyashkin was given a one-year suspended sentence on charges of using violence against a police officer during an anti-corruption rally.
