A hurricane was held in the Tver region, at least ten people were injured

As a result of a hurricane in the Tver region, 11 people were injured. This was reported by the regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies.

The report said that as a result of the thunderstorm front and winds with gusts of up to 25 m/s in the city of Andreapol, trees fell on roads and residential buildings. It is specified that 6 people were injured there, and in the Ostashkovsky district - 5.

At the same time, TASS with reference to the Ministry of Emergencies writes that two people were killed.

“Six people were injured in the Andreapolsky district, two of them died, both adults, there are no threats of the life of the rest. Five people were injured in the Ostashkovsky district, there were no heavily injured, ”said the agency’s interlocutor, noting that the strong wind was also in Rzhev, but the victims were not reported there.

At the same time, the TASS source in emergency services announced 15 victims. RIA Novosti, citing a representative of emergency services, reports that three people were killed.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, the wind knocked out more than 90 trees. “The roofs of 65 residential buildings were damaged, the energy supply in four municipalities (90 settlements, 1678 houses, 2278 people) was partially violated,” the agency was told in emergency services.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations said that for the injured residents they launched the points of temporary accommodation, but they noted that at the moment no one needed them.

The head of the Tver region, Igor Rudeny, instructed to provide all the necessary assistance to the victims and their families, as well as quickly restore energy supply in the municipality.
