An unidentified man opened fire near the building of the US Department of Defense. The shooting near the Pentagon is reported by the Associated Press.

The shooter fired several bullets at a transport hub near a metro station and a bus stop. Almost immediately after that, the police arrived at the scene. Pentagon security blocked the entrances and exits of the building.

During the arrest, the attacker was killed.
