On August 2, the Central District Court of Novokuznetsk terminated the proceedings on the case of violation of the procedure for holding a rally (part 1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) against civil activist Igor Gorlanov. This is reported by "Taiga.Info" with reference to the lawyer Dmitry Miropoltsev.
The case was initiated because of the picket that Gorlanov held on May 12. The activist came out with a banner "How to contact the president?" to the shopping center "City Mall". The court concluded that the actions of the picketer did not constitute an offense under the "rally" article.
In the wake of the same action, on July 1, the court fined Gorlanov a thousand rubles under the article on violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules (part 1 of article 20.6.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
