Another verdict in the “sanitary case”, compensation for the work of security forces at the January rallies and attempts to debar the former head of “Team 29”. We'll tell you about the main things for August 3rd.

• Oppositionist Lyubov Sobol was sentenced to one and a half years of restriction of freedom for a “sanitary matter.” She is prohibited from participating in rallies, being outside her home from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and leaving the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region.
• Kemerovo blogger Mikhail Alferov is threatened with a new criminal case. He is now under house arrest - the activist is charged with inciting hatred or enmity due to a video in support of Alexei Navalny.
• The Ministry of Justice went to court to disbar the former head of Team 29, Ivan Pavlov. In July, Team 29 announced its closure.
• In Rostov-on-Don, Jehovah's Witness Andrei Okhrimchuk was sentenced to four years probation on charges of participating in and financing the activities of an extremist organization. A criminal case was opened against his co-religionists from Crimea, Pyotr Zhiltsov and Daria Kuzio, and a preventive measure was chosen for them.
• FBK was fined 500 thousand rubles for not having the “foreign agent” label on one of the foundation’s websites. At the same time, Roskomnadzor recently blocked 49 websites associated with Alexei Navalny and his team.
• A court in the Yaroslavl region upheld the police claim against the former head of Navalny’s local headquarters, Alexander Smirnov. The activist must pay the Ministry of Internal Affairs almost 450 thousand rubles in compensation for the work of security forces during the action on January 31.
• In the Pskov region, politicians Nikolai Kuzmin and Lev Shlosberg, who were running for the regional assembly of deputies, were removed from the elections. The Election Commission considered that they were associated with “extremist structures,” since Kuzmin and Shlosberg participated in a rally in support of Navalny on January 23.
• In St. Petersburg, the court dismissed five administrative cases against participants in protests in support of Navalny. The interests of the activists were represented by lawyer Igor Skachko, who collaborates with OVD-Info.
