The Mosgorsud at the appeal left in the pre -trial detention center the defendant of the “palace affair” Alexander Federeyakov. This was reported by a lawyer from the ATS-info, Alexander Borkov, representing the interests of the prisoner.

On July 16, the Meshchansky District Court extended the arrest to Federyakov until January 5, 2022. The meeting will essentially be held on August 5.

The prisoner is accused of applying violence to a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code) for shares in support of Alexei Navalny on January 23. According to investigators, during the rally, Federeyakov sprayed the gas spray towards the riot police officer. Thus, according to the accusation, he caused the security forces "physical pain and moral suffering." The participant in the action does not admit his guilt.

• In connection with the detention of Alexei Navalny throughout Russia, a series of protests was held - the most mass shares took place on January 23 and January 31. The security forces reacted hard to rallies: on January 23, more than 4,000 people were detained, and on January 31 - more than 5500 . On the day of replacing the deadline for Yves Rocher, the realdetention, including journalists, also took place in the Moscow City Court and the Moscow Center.
• In total, in the wake of protests, at least 90 criminal cases were instituted over the trial of Alexei Navalny throughout the country, most of the defendants are accused of applying violence to representatives of the authorities that are not dangerous for life and health (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code).
