The Simonovsky District Court of Moscow fined the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) 500 thousand rubles under the article on violating the legislation on “foreign agents” (Part 2 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code). MBKH Media drew attention to the court’s decision .
The fine was imposed due to the absence of the “foreign agent” marking on the FBK website dedicated to filing complaints with the ECHR.
- The Ministry of Justice included FBK in the register of “foreign agents” allegedly because of tranches from Spain and the United States amounting to more than 140 thousand rubles. The money came to an account that was blocked in a case of money laundering in the fund. The Moscow City Court recognized the refusal of the Ministry of Justice to exclude the project from the register of “foreign agents” as legal.
