The city court of St. Petersburg upheld the decision of the court of first instance on the choice of a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest for the deputy of the Legislative Assembly Maxim Reznik. This was reported in the United press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.
Reznik has been under house arrest in the case of buying drugs “for personal consumption” (part 1 of article 228 of the Criminal Code) since June 18. The initiation of a criminal case against the politician became known on June 17, the day after the announcement of elections to the regional parliament. That day, Reznik and his family were searched, and the politician himself was detained .
Reznik later announced the end of the election campaign.
