Open Media, MBH Media and Human Rights Cards Blocked the Prosecutor General’s Office

Open Media and MBH Media sites blocked at the request of Roskomnadzor. This is reported in the telegram channels.

Both locks are related to the decisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of August 3. At the same time, the editorial board of “open media” and “MBH Media” did not receive notifications from either the prosecutor's office or from Roskomnadzor.

On the evening of August 4, Open Media received four letters from Roskomnadzor, where the department requires to remove some kind of illegal information, but does not specify which one.

Judging by the information from the Roskomnadzor website, “Open Media” were added to the “Register of Domainnaya Names, Site Pages on the Internet and Network addresses that allow identifying sites on the Internet that contains calls for mass riots, implementing extremist activities, participation in mass (public) measures conducted in violation of the established procedure”.

“MBH Media” also notes that in the decision to block their site, the prosecutor's office refers to an article that prescribes to block sites “containing information with calls for mass riots, carrying out extremist activities or participation in illegal mass events” (Article 15.3 of the Federal Law “On Information”).
