The Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced Nikolai the Ninth to four and a half years in a penal colony, accused of using violence against a government official (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code) during protests on January 23 in support of Alexei Navalny. The court exacted from the Ninth 150,000 rubles each in compensation for non-pecuniary damage to two law enforcement officers injured in the case. The security forces demanded to recover 200 thousand rubles in compensation from the Ninth. They talked about the "physical and moral suffering" that allegedly occurred after the attack of the Ninth.
