A joint photo of two outstanding athletes caused a huge scandal. How Russia and Ukraine were knocked out in the champions in the persecution of their own and strangers

The 29-year-old Russian woman Maria Lasitzkene won the long-awaited gold, her permanent rival over the past two years 19-year-old Ukrainian Yaroslav Maguchi became a bronze medalist of games, lagging behind four centimeters. Magichee had the best result of the season in the world - 206 centimeters, the three -time world champion Lasitskene did not jump above two meters in the season, but it was she who, contrary to everything, became the Olympic champion. The struggle in the sector was surprisingly beautiful and incredibly dramatic.

There is nothing surprising in the fact that the cameras captured not only the vicissitudes of rivalry, but also what happened after. The champion and bronze medalist hugged, congratulated each other, fell into the camera lens - all honor in honor, as it should be, as it should be among people who just competed with each other at large Olympic heights. Beautiful girls, worthy conclusion, sincere emotions. I believe that they did not think about anything other than the failed.

It turned out that it was necessary to think. It was necessary, being inside the action, which captured millions of people from television screens, to also think about who your friend is and who is your enemy. Not an opponent, namely the enemy, because he represented a country de facto fighting with your country.

You realized that the young Yaroslav Maguchy went, who had to learn a lot of interesting things about himself not only from social networks, but also from the official representatives of Ukraine.

The range of accusations turned out to be quite wide - from regret that the athlete committed a rash act, to the proposal to dump to Russia, from reproaches in illegibility to direct threats. A few hours later, the deputy minister of defense of Ukraine, Anna Maryar, added to the fire, promising the public to talk heart to heart with the fined young athlete upon returning from Tokyo and report on the results of this conversation.

Russian users answered, as it is now accepted by us - ridicule of a neighboring country, calls to Yaroslav to urgently escape from Ukraine, and certainly to Russia, then politicians and propagandists joined in their own hands, who received such powerful weapons as a collision on no one who was not guilty athlete, including official instances.

I will not give extreme examples of quite a Ksenofobsky sense, because I do not want to spend either my nerves or nerves of our readers on this. And without that it is clear that they write on both sides, when everyone has already forgotten about athletes and about the ill -fated picture, but one thing remained - undisguised hatred. Everything, as always over the past seven years.

I am not at all seduced about our Russian propagandists who, in a fit of righteous anger and a fit of nobility, suddenly begin to make round eyes and condole the people of Ukraine, who put worthless politicians, adopted exclusively Russophobia. That they are already rushing there.

At the same time, we pretend that Russia has nothing special with Ukraine,

That it is time for neighbors to finally come to terms with the new alignment of strength, amicably to stop the conflict, to which they for some reason do not agree, and even use any, the most insignificant reason to add a gasoline into a fire. With our frantic patriots, I emphasize, everything is clear for a long time. With the reaction of the Ukrainian side, which is not as clear as presented in the Russian media, is increasingly complicated. I believe that a natural annoyance to defeat the leader of the season, the hope of the whole of Ukraine, the beauty-athletes was repeatedly intensified due to the picture with the offender. Lasitzkene was immediately recalled that she is the captain of the Armed Forces of Russia, and the Magnesky as the younger lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, respectively, was not stood up to hug the representative of the "aggressor country".

Russia and Ukraine, albeit to varying degrees, inherited many generic features of the USSR, where no one was surprised by the military ranks of the leading athletes representing CSKA. The stars were given then, and now they are not given for success in military affairs, but for sports achievements. Maria Lasitzkene “rose” just to the captain, Yaroslav Maguchy, despite the fact that she was already a well-deserved master of sports of Ukraine-to the younger lieutenant, although she has everything ahead. I don’t know how quickly the next title will be given to her now, because, to put it mildly, a careless act “can become an object of information special operation of the enemy”, as the deputy minister of defense was interpreted.

Everyone was dumped into one pile, and the fact that the neighbors hurts more strongly, the collision with a very young girl does not justify. It is clear that now where the sport, especially Olympic, is a policy where there is a politics - there is a hysteria that the Russian side showed in abundance in the course of the whole Tokyo, stranger in recent history, Olympics.

But in the case of magic and Ukrainian radicals, they turned their anger not at the address, substituting themselves.

Of course, if Yaroslav Maguchy somehow publicly demonstrated her attitude towards the rival as a representative of the “aggressor country”, it might be called a heroine in her homeland. But she and Maria Lasitzkene are in the same boat, and if Masha, which many are drawn behind, and Yaroslav would not have achieved such a unique progress. Personally, Lasitzkene did not give a single reason to classify her as “enemies”, and which one of the Russians brings personal responsibility for the acts of their government, everyone decides for himself. Just a high -jumping sector is not at all the place where notebook propagandists are practicing in dentistry. To bring under a regular ritual with a joint photograph almost betrayal to the homeland is, of course, too much.

But if any possible contact of Russia and Ukraine in any sport is already submitted by both sides as something particularly dangerous, unpredictable and necessarily with consequences, then the Saturday case does not seem to be something out of the ordinary. In the near future, similar pictures, which can hug Ukrainian and Russian athletes, are unlikely to see. Everyone understood everything, and now, before hugging, they will think very much with whom they can be in the same picture and what it can lead to.

But this, of course, spontaneous and sincere gesture remained one of the last threads of hope that at least at the level of personal relations people have the right to remain people, and these relations are higher and more honest than the ambitions and disassembly of politicians who brought the case to the war, albeit not officially declared.

As for the proposals of Yaroslav Maguchy to change citizenship to Russian, the authors should recall that athletics in Russia exists on bird rights, and no one knows when the status of the National Federation will be restored. Maria Lasitzkene twice became the world champion as a neutral athlete.
