Police dismantled the tent camp of the defenders of the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain

Police officers, together with local officials, dismantled the tent camp of eco-activists opposing the construction of the highway and cutting down the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain for this. This was reported by the publication "Caucasian Knot" , as well as the Activatica portal.

The defenders of the forest set their tent camp on August 9 a few kilometers from the alleged construction of the road. According to activists, the camp was defeated in a place permitted by law, seven tents were installed in total.

The police came twice - for the second time with the Oblkompriroda employees. As a result, law enforcement officers interviewed activists and seized almost all tents from them, and also drew up a protocol on violation of the rules for the use of natural resources in specially protected areas (Article 8.39 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

In a conversation with the “Caucasian Knot”, the head of the department of state environmental supervision of the Oblkompriroda, Mikhail Arsenov, explained that the installation of a tent camp had to be agreed with representatives of the park. According to him, coordination is required, as activists called on people to come to the camp through social networks.

“If a person decided to organize a massive place of rest here, this is not prohibited by law, but this should be done in accordance with the procedure established by order. 14 days before the start of the event, he notifies the park about this, a contract is concluded for the park to understand that he has a fairly large number of people in this territory. This territory is specially protected, suddenly the fire will start from here, ”he told the publication.

• At the site of the Volga-Akhtubinskaya Palace, they plan to build a road. This will need to be cut down about 15 thousand oaks. Locals launched a petition against this, by July 11 she gained more than 47 thousand signatures. Greenpeace in April said that the work in the floodplain nevertheless began, and told why they are illegal.
• In July, the court fined a pensioner for 150 thousand rubles, who came out with a picket against cutting oaks in the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain. She was found guilty of repeated violation of the rules of participation in shares (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Another picket was fined 20 thousand rubles.
