Modern Greek cinema will be shown in Moscow

From September 3 to 5, the II International Festival of Modern Cinema Greece will be held at the Moscow Cinema Center of October, which will present films made by Greek directors over the past two years.

The festival is held as part of the official program of events dedicated to the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the independence of Greece, with the support of the KARO.Art project.

According to the site "Karo. Art" , the opening film of the Festival "Modern Cinema of Greece" will be the debut work of the director of Christ Nick "Apples".

This picture was a great success at international film festivals in Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Ljubljana, Zurich, Venice and was nominated for Oscar-2021 from Greece in the category of “Best Foreign Film”.

The opening ceremony will also be shown the short film "NIMIC" Yorgos Lantimos.

The Russian premiere of the painting "tailor" Sonya Lisa Kentterman will end the festival.

In addition, in the schedule of the Modern Cinema festival, the full -length films “Rosa Smirna” by George Cordellas, “Siege on Liperti Street” Pamballis and “Daniel '16 Dimitris Kutsiabasakos and a short meter program .

On September 4, before the show of the film “Rose Smirna”, the associate professor of the department of the new Greek language and Byzantology of Moscow State University Ksenia Ksenia Ksenia Ksenia Ksenia will tell about historical events in Smirn at the beginning of the 20th century, and on September 5 a meeting with Dimitris Kutsiabasakos will be held.
