Journalist Ivan Safronov sent to the editorial office of the “new” statistics of his stay in the Lefortovo pre -trial detention center

Ivan Safronov, accused of Gosizman, has been in custody for more than 13 months - he was arrested on July 7, 2020. At the time of the detention, Ivan managed to work as an adviser to the head of Roscosmos for about two months, but the case of the Stateizer, as was repeatedly announced officially, concerns the time when he was a journalist - he worked for many years as a special correspondent of Kommersant and newspaper Vedomosti.

The investigation believes that in 2017, Safronov transferred secret data on the military-technical cooperation of Russia in Africa and the activities of the Russian Armed Forces in the Middle East with Czech intelligence. Ivan Safronov does not admit his guilt: he abandoned any transactions with the investigation, including the investigator’s proposal about the only possible conversation with his mother in exchange for “cooperation”.

According to the latest decision of the court, Safronov will be in the Lefortovo pre -trial detention center until October 7, 2021.
