Yandex has launched food delivery using courier robots on the main campus of Ohio State University in the United States. This was reported on the website of the company Grubhub, in partnership with which the delivery is carried out.
Deliver orders within the campus, where more than 60,000 students live and study, will be delivered by 50 fully automatic courier robots. They will work daily from 9 am to 9 pm.
Robots will be able to deliver orders from local cafes to the doors of educational buildings, dormitories or libraries.
Tigran Khudaverdyan, managing director of the Yandex group of companies, on his Facebook called it “the first commercial project in the history of unmanned technologies.”
