The Ministry of Justice wants to change the reporting procedure for NPOs, which are recognized by foreign agents. According to RBC, if the document is accepted, then it will begin to operate within six years from the first March 2022.
In the new reports of NGOs, they will be obliged to talk about the programs they carried out in Russia. Organizations will describe the programs they carry out in Russia. We will have to report for the events taken into the program. The reports will need to be indicated by the list of participants in the event and counterparties, as well as a financial report indicating the money spent.
In addition, the Ministry of Justice will require reporting on measures that were planned to be carried out in the reporting period, but for some reason they were not held.
Human rights activists believe that the new requirements in the reports will allow the Ministry of Justice to prohibit the work of any NKO-foreign-agent on any basis. In addition, additional reports have the risks of new fines for non -profit organizations.
