Yandex.Taxi will change tariffs in several regions

"Yandex.Taxi" from August 25 plans to increase the commission for drivers in some regions, as well as change the tariff structure, TASS writes with reference to the company's press service. Exactly how the tariffs will change is unknown.

The statement said the changes were driven by rising costs in the industry. In which specific regions to expect innovations, it is not reported, however, the company clarified that they will not affect Moscow.

Yandex.Taxi intends to continue to maintain an effective commission of less than 10% when the service returns a significant portion of its entire commission to drivers in the form of rewards.

According to the company, at the end of last year, drivers earned a total of 300 billion rubles, which is 15% higher than in 2019. Yandex.Taxi expects further growth in the income of drivers and taxi companies due to the spread of Yandex technologies for order distribution, demand forecasting and optimal routing, as well as “new opportunities for order delivery in logistics.”
