Vladimir Putin offered to pay a one-time payment of 10,000 rubles to Russian pensioners, and 15,000 to military personnel.
The president stated this during a meeting with representatives of the United Russia party. During the event, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu asked Putin to support the military, whose incomes were affected by inflation and the pandemic.
The President replied that within the framework of the fight against inflation, the Central Bank and the government are making "adequate efforts". He also stressed that for senior citizens, inflation exceeds 6.5% "because of consumption patterns."
In this regard, he instructed to make lump-sum payments to the military and pensioners, saying that the agreed increase in pensions in the amount of 1 thousand rubles is not sufficient. The payment will be available to working and non-working pensioners.
