On August 12, the Kirovsky District Court imposed a two-year suspended sentence on the former head of police department No. 3 of Ufa, Vadim Fattakhov, who broke the jaw of a subordinate. This was reported by the local publication “Proof” with reference to the press service of the court.
According to investigators , on March 11, a police officer punched a subordinate operative in the face and broke his jaw. This happened at the police department. “At the operational meeting, Fattakhov allegedly threw the materials of the criminal case in the operative’s face. He threw the folder with the documents back, then the lieutenant colonel struck,” writes Proof, citing a source in law enforcement agencies.
The Investigative Committee first opened a criminal case under the article on causing moderate harm to health (Part 1 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code), but later the charge was reclassified as abuse of official power with the use of violence (Clause “a”, Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code).
