“Caritas of the Transfiguration Diocese in Novosibirsk” works in Western Siberia, helping socially vulnerable groups - seriously ill people, children from socially disadvantaged families and children without parental care, homeless people and people in dire need.

Caritas operates a Patronage Service in 9 cities of Russia . Your donations were sent to the work of this service in the city of Barnaul . The main goal of the Patronage Service is to train relatives of seriously ill people in modern home care methods. As a result of the service, 31 people received help for the first time and 187 again . Specialists conducted 335 consultations, and nurses visited people’s homes 141 times. 7 people in need of rehabilitation equipment received them for rent.

Another Caritas project to which your donations were sent is the Mother's Convent in Novosibirsk . This is a crisis center for families with young children who are going through a difficult life situation. The center can accommodate 15 mothers and children at the same time. Families who do not need accommodation are provided with socio-pedagogical and material support. During April - June, the center supported 56 families raising 117 children. 12 families lived in the crisis center itself. The center's psychologists and social educators helped those who applied. Mothers were helped to restore documents, apply for benefits, were given food packages and baby food, and assisted in placing their children in kindergartens and finding employment.

The central office of Caritas Western Siberia is located in Novosibirsk, which coordinates 27 charitable projects in 9 cities of Siberia . With your help, we were able to pay for some administrative expenses of the office - salaries of Caritas employees . In addition, during this time, 2 working groups were held for project managers, a training seminar on working with teenagers for specialists from Children's Clubs and Family Development Centers, and a business trip to supervise projects in Nizhny Tagil.

During the second quarter of 2021, we managed to collect 417,069 rubles for the work of Caritas . Most of them - 401,409 rubles - are small monthly donations . Such donations help the Foundation plan its work months in advance. Once a month they are debited from your bank card.
