Once every two weeks, Ekaterina Pisareva, on August 17, who took the post of Litrez chief editor and continuing to oversee MyBook and other services, including Livelib brands, Litres: Samizdat, Litrez: Reader Litres: Library, will not only talk about the most curious new products, but also choose those that can be read quickly and with interest.

Today, the publishing house Eksmo and Litres are published by the new novel by Viktor Pelevin Transhumanism Inc. 604 pages, 75 thousand - starting circulation. But is it worth it?
From the new books of Pelevin, no one has been waiting for neither divine revelations, nor prophetic predictions, nor any fresh thoughts for a long time. He has long become someone like a commentator of reality, however, flying into an prohibitive cosmic space. He is forgiven for what any other writer would be crucified and canceled - intolerance, and sexism, and endless self -cystation, and unsuccessful humor. Polevin’s annual novel is like the annual appeal of Putin: unfortunately, he keeps up with time and on schedule. And if you miss, you will still retell.
This time we are offered to plunge into the world of a distant future, in which immortality became accessible. Not everyone, of course, and for a lot of money. Oligarchs, businessmen, bankers, rulers - everyone who can afford to buy an illusory future - will find themselves in a “can” dimension after death, that is, they will be able to preserve their living brain in a reliable vault. In the "can" reality there is even its own hierarchy, in which the inhabitants of the First Taer are immortal lower category. The highest, almost sky -high, is the eleventh Taer, or “Golden Star” - it belongs to the beautiful, great and cunning aton Goldenstern. Actually, he owns Transhumanism Inc. (which controls everything on Earth), the industry of immortality, technologies and patents.
The society of the future was divided into three parts: the “bannch” elite, ordinary mortal and bio-holo-hols serving them. There is no more Pelevin in Russia in the world, in its place after the fall of the Mikhalkov-Ashkenaz dynasty, a good state was founded, at the head of which-the Black Cules. The usual social networks were replaced by an Albanian contacton, and from writers only Sharaban-Mukhlyuyev, the main classic who had long “played” in the “Bank”. (Here Pelevin, of course, ironically withdraws his self -portrait, modestly noting that the writer “spoke out three centuries ago on all issues of the universe.”)
In total, there are seven completely independent chapters in the novel, each of which has both a plot twist and familiar reprisals. Pelevin describes different stories and different heroes, but it seems to be really not sympathetic to any of them.
The first thing that catches the eye is in the world of Pelevin’s future sadly and very archaic, they go to chipped horses and carts, squint hay, drink beer “sleeping beauty”, own serfs and go to cornuttails. Everything, as now, rotates around two things - money and sex, sex and money. At first, everyone wants to make money to get into a jar of eternal life, and then from the banks they begin to think about how to realize their sexual desires with the help of new technologies and mortal people.
Most of the plots are spinning around them. At some moments, it seems that Viktor Olegovich was overdated for himself sex-at least he finally discovered the cyberdildonik and virtual porn.
The girl Manya shares her “sensual experience” with the Goldenstele Beautiful, the talented master of Sasaki-san reflands the sex robots and makes Samuraev from them, the student has original sex on the wheel of samsara, the jars of the highest Taer are trying on the cat skin, and the former neuroprogrammer Dmitry is trying to reproduce the Bunin “Mitina Love” in the new realities.
This happens, as the author assures, in the world of the victorious matriarchy, but with him Pelevin is just as bad as with feminism. From nowhere, old jokes about the “secret species to Mount Fuji” come from, about which everyone preferred to forget. (New jokes, I must say, are no better: for example, “Homik” (Homo) is a person without can.)
Pelevin Matriarchy also seems to be a stupid and angry joke. It is impossible to believe in all seriousness that the only thing that women were missing for happiness were neurostropones and male prostitution. Thank you, Viktor Olegovich, gave out a dildo like the keys to paradise.
That's only in paradise, or to beast immortality, men (bankers, businessmen, rulers) still turn out to be mainly), and rare women are either stupid owners of cosmetic brands, or blogger. Once again, refusing women in the right to intellectual activity, the writer remains faithful to his misogy.
He does not bypass his favorite critical garden: “Listen, Kiso, if you understand the recipe so well by which my books are made, try to write the same. For ten years you can take out a member from your mouth. ”
In general, even seriously offended all this. The philosopher and the wise prophet in the past, the Pelevin today looks like a real troll, from despair practicing in wit. He tries to feel the nerve of time, but each time he stumbles for his reflection, aging every day.
