Good evening,
This message (material) was created and (or) widespread by a foreign media that performs the functions of a foreign agent, and (or) a Russian legal entity that performs the functions of a foreign agent
This is the daily Medusa newsletter about the most important thing that happened during the day. One of the main events for us of the last three months is the Musical Marathon “Summer Agents” . From June 1 to August 31, we published premieres, special performances and appeals of artists about the situation with independent media in Russia daily on weekdays. And so we got to the finals. The marathon is completed byEvgeny Fedorov - he began it. And also Boris Grebenshchikov and Aquarium - after all, how without them? “It’s good when there is where to find out what is really happening,” BG wrote to us.
We are immensely grateful to all participants in the “summer agents”. And to everyone who listened to excellent music with us for three months. Thank you!

On August 31, 1996, the federal authorities and separatists entered into the Khasavyurt agreements, under whose terms the federal troops were withdrawn from the republic. But three years later, a new armed conflict began - with new victims of both Chechnya and other regions of Russia. In the beginning and mid-2000s, hundreds of terrorist attacks occur in the country. How many people fought in Chechnya? And how many died? And how did the republic change after two wars? The main thing about this is in five schedules .
Since April 2021, seven editions and about 20 journalists have been declared “foreign agents”, another publication has become an “unwanted” organization. This is an unprecedented attack on independent media in Russia - and there is no reason to think that it is over. How do the editors live in such conditions? Are they preparing for a new attack? And is it possible to stay in the profession at all? The answers arehere .
In the continuation of yesterday’s history, we talked with Arthur Chaparyan, friend and colleague of Idrak Mirzizade-a comedian who was recognized as a threat to public order due to an ambiguous joke about the Russians. The joke, recall, sounded back in early March. And in May, at his concert, Mirzalizade joked about the head of Rosneft Igor Sechin and the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. Maybe this is what became the real reason for the pursuit of the comedian? And how do participants in the stand-up community perceive the Mirzalizade case?

A post was released on the Instagram of Alexei Navalny in which he said that he received 30 reprimands in the colony, and brought an excerpt from notification of one of them: “At the entrance to the office, where he was called to announce the reprimand, the convicted Navalny did not introduce himself in form, used non -help words (b ... t), while defiantly removed the jacket of the X/B, and then left the office without permission.” Navalny asks to help him with the decryption of the word indicated in brackets. He has several options, but all of them do not seem suitable for him. “Help to solve the secret,” Navalny asks.
