"Feeling of doom." The teacher fired for the picket cannot find a job

The history teacher from Komi Nikita Tushkanov is sitting without work for almost six months - he was fired from school for "immoral behavior": in January he went to a single picket for freedom of speech. Tushkin is looking for work in their specialty and not only in their native region, but cannot find it - schools refuse to hire it with the words: "If you are for Navalny, we are not on the way." The North Realities tell how Nikita Tushkanov was left without work due to a political position.

Picket at the price of dismissal

Nikita Tushkanov lives in Mikuni - this is a small city and a railway junction two hours from the capital of Komi Syktyvkar. After graduating from the university in 2018, he immediately got a job at a local school - a teacher of history and social studies. He was a class teacher, prepared for the release of his eleventh graders.

January 23, 2021, on the day when mass rallies passed throughout Russia in support of the opposition politician Alexei Navalny, he went to a single picket. In his hands, the tushkanov held the poster "Silent or die." He later explained that he had gone for freedom of speech in the country, and asked his students not to go anywhere - in order to "do not bring either himself or them under the article."

After the picket home, the police came to Tushkanov to take explanations, and two days later an emergency meeting was held at the school, where Nikita was asked to quit at their own request. He was accused of immorality, asked if he was paying Navalny and whether he wants to go back in the 90s. The teacher refused to quit.

- Well, I sent everyone to FIG and began to show actively on social networks the school problems: take a video, photos. He promised to dry the director. A month later, the reprimand was removed, but refused to give a copy of the cancellation. Then on March 23, I published short clippings from that conversation with the head of the Department of Education and the deputy head of the district. And after that in the morning they held a meeting on my question. I was told that I was doing immoral acts, on March 24 they sent a memorandum, and on March 25 they fired, ”said Nikita Tushkin.

Tushkanov was fired under paragraph 8 of part 1 of Article 81 of the Labor Code, due to "an employee performing educational functions, an immoral misconduct, incompatible with a continuation of this work." Amoral members of the commission, according to Tushkinov himself, considered that he came to children with weapons in their hands. It's about the picture on his Instagram, stylized under the film "Brother": on it there is a tushkin with a gun. But Nikita says that it was Photoshop - in reality, he had an ordinary rolling pin in his hands. The dismissal case was attached to the 2016 photographs, where he was in a club with friends, made while studying in Syktyvkar.

He appealed the dismissal in court, the consideration of the claim began in April, and ended only by July. The court refused to restore the teacher at work. Tushkanov went to a higher authority - the Komi Supreme Court, but the meeting was scheduled only on September 6. Until that time, Nikita seems to be left without work.

"Forced to refuse"

The first time after the dismissal, Nikita Tushkanov worked as a tutoring, and in the summer he left for his native village of Chuprovo in the Udorsky district. There he scared - he was engaged in a transport, pricked firewood, mowed the grass.

Closer to August, he began to call schools and colleges, sent a resume.

-Someone unsubscribed, said that they were considering my resume, and then they wrote that a local teacher had just come and would take him. Someone wrote that the vacancy was closed, sometimes they did not answer. Although sometimes I called in advance and they told me that yes, send a resume, teachers are required. And then it turned out that there was no place, they went to, ”says Nikita.

At the same time, announcements of open vacancies are still hanging on the sites of schools and technical schools. Tushkin began to send the resume not only to the Komi schools, but also the neighboring regions - the Vologda, Kirov, Murmansk and Arkhangelsk regions. In the resume, the teacher did not indicate why he was fired.

Once almost lucky. Nikita contacted the director of the gymnasium in the village of Bereznik in the Arkhangelsk region. They told him: come to get acquainted.

- I arrived there, met very well. They showed the surroundings, conducted a tour of the gymnasium, showed a class, called the deputies of the director, there was a meeting at which they said that they would work from me, how many hours I would work, gave instructions. They found the house where I will live - housing is provided there. I liked everything. In general, they spoke immediately to go with things to start working. The director said that she was waiting for me, ”says Tushkinov.

He left for things, but after 12 hours the director Elena Andryushchenko wrote to him a message: “Unfortunately, I have to refuse you. Do not despair, good luck, strength, patience” (the editorial office has a screen of the entire correspondence).

The director did not answer the question of Tushkanov about the reason for the refusal.

Reali Andryushchenko said that Nikita Tushkanov did not provide two certificates when applying for a job - about the absence of a criminal record and about a medical examination. Tushkin confirmed that he had no certificates of criminal record. According to him, at school he was given a month to receive this document. And Tushkinov’s medical examination was a certificate of medical examination from March 2021.

- The medical certificate is valid for the year. Some excuses went, of course. You can understand the director. I think she called the administration, and there they told her: do not dare, ”the teacher believes. “I don’t know for what reason they refuse me.” Here with this school, at least - well, what could happen in 12 hours? I told them what happened to me, for which I was fired. They even to some extent sympathized with me, supported, said that they had done unfairly with me. I can’t be such an important person for this system that I would not be allowed anywhere? - says Tushkanov.

Now Nikita Tushkanov cannot get a job, he lives about 15 thousand a month, excluding the rent for the apartment.

-Somewhere I work, somewhere my mother helps, somewhere familiar. It doesn’t matter because of this, of course. Some kind of doom, says Tushkinov.

Sometimes he announces fundraising on his Instagram. Usually they send 50, 100, 200 rubles. But twice were large for the teacher - 10 and 15 thousand rubles.

“I don’t even know who sent it.” It is not written, from whom, there are not even initials.

Now he hopes for the decision of the Komi Supreme Court: he wants to recover at work, receive the assigned payments for the forced simple and immediately quit.

“I want to remove the article on which I was fired -“ immoral behavior, ”he explains.

Recently, one of the teachers about the search for work responded to one of the ads. They called Tushkin, but immediately warned: "If you are for Navalny, then we are not on the way."
