By public transport
The electric trains go to Volkhov from Ladoga and Moscow Stations, the path will take more than two hours. You can get to the city and on the "Swallow", saving for about half an hour. There are two railway stations in Volkhov: Volkhovstroy-1 and Volkhovstroy-2. You can also get by bus - from the metro station "Dybenko" or "Volkovskaya".

House of Graftio (Museum of History)
In the two-story building of the 1920s, Henry Graftio, chief engineer of the Volkhov hydroelectric power station, lived. Now there is a museum of the history of the city, which tells about the life of the former owner of the house, the construction of the hydroelectric power station and the defense of Volkhov during the war years. The building stands on the banks of the river, a view of the hydroelectric power station opens from the balcony.

- In my opinion, a great museum: a very interesting exposition and fantastically professional employees. The excursion conducted by the chief keeper of the museum funds Irina Puzanova was just fire. I really fell in love with Henry Osipovich Graftio - a designer and chief engineer of the Volkhov hydroelectric power station (and hydroelectric power station for Svir), as well as the builders of this hydroelectric power station.
