In Irkutsk, local residents continue the protest against the construction of the temple on Bezbokov Street on the site of the square.

Video protest was published by the Krasny Irkutsk telegram channel. One of the rally participants curled up that "she wanted to save the park zone, because they have nothing to breathe." About 4 thousand people signed a petition against the construction of the temple.

The authorities tried to start the construction in 2016. Then the inhabitants managed to defend the square and achieve a ban on deforestation. At the end of August, the call allocated for the construction of the temple was again surrounded by a fence.
The Telegram channel "Irkutsk Blog" says that the project was estimated at a billion rubles. The height of the temple should be 50 meters.
