The Nizhny Novgorod District Court of Nizhny Novgorod arrested Sergei Sveshnikov, who kidnapped a local resident and raped her in the basement. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee and the press service of the regional courts.
Sveshnikov is accused of kidnapping with the use of violence (points “c” and “d” of Part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, 23-year-old Elizaveta Babikova met a Nizhny Novgorod resident on a dating site, on August 24 they met him in a restaurant, after which the girl left with him in an unknown direction.

The girl said that she registered on a dating site “for the purpose of earning money.” On the day of the meeting, Sveshnikov said that he would take her to the Matryoshka restaurant, but on the way he stopped because of a flat tire and suggested having sex “right next to the bus stop.”
According to Babikova, she refused, after which Sveshnikov took a folding knife from his pocket. “He told me to take off my panties, I got scared and took off my panties. In the pocket of the front seat, he took out handcuffs with white fluff. He fixed the handcuffs behind my back, but not tightly, because of which I was able to pull out one hand, after which he tightened the handcuffs more, which hurt me,” the telegram channel reported the victim’s testimony.
The victim told investigators that Sveshnikov brought her to the basement, where he raped her.
