More than 40 Crimean Tatars were detained in Simferopol. They spoke out in support of their fellow countrymen

In Simferopol, at about 17:00, more than 40 Crimean Tatars were detained near the FSB building. They spoke in support of their countrymen, who were searched on September 3 and 4. The incident was reported on the Facebook page of the Crimean Solidarity movement.

Among the detainees are two journalists from Crimean Solidarity and Grani.ru. During one of the detentions, the security forces used brute force. Twenty people have already been taken to the Zheleznodorozhny police department.

According to the Crimean Solidarity activist Lutfiye Zudieva, the remaining 16 detainees were taken to the Tsentralny police station in Simferopol.

It is still unknown what the detainees are charged with.
